I've had the privilege of capturing family sessions since 2011. In that time I've perfected my style to create a family session that results in smiles, laughter, and lots of love & emotion. Throughout your session I'll help you with posing to look your absolute best. I'll fix your hair, tell (bad) jokes, and capture the love your family has for each other. Phoenix family sessions are available year round at either my studio or in the Arizona scenery.

Some families worry about needing to dress up for their session and that is just not the case. The Snow family is a perfect example of this! They came in the cutest outfits and while they're casual, they all looked SO good together. When styling your family session it's important to remember to wear outfits you'll be comfortable in. Even if they're jeans and a T-shirt.

This is what dreams are made of. The Wojtcuk family was blissful and oh so sweet. We captured their family session at the White Tank Regional park in Phoenix on a beautiful October afternoon. This sweet family of 4 was so relaxed and so much fun to work with. Their outfits were perfect and so were their pictures!

The Prater family showed up ready to impress for their fall family photos. Matt + Kati Prater along with their kiddos Ava, Elle, Pax, and Kit are always so much fun to photograph. I've had the honor of capturing this family for the last few years (including Kits newborns!)
Their bold color selection looked so beautiful as the sun set over the mounts at the Salt River. If the Prater family taught us anything, it's to embrace color and textures!

With over a decade of expertise behind the scenes, you'll be guided every step of the way—from choosing outfits that are cohesive, comfortable, and stunning, to selecting from a list of beautiful East Valley locations that will perfectly complement your session.
During your Phoenix family session, your family will be gently lead into natural, comfortable poses that embrace each unique personality and capture the love you all share. Every image will be crafted to reflect your family’s story in an authentic, heartfelt way. By the end of the session, you’ll leave feeling relaxed and happy, knowing that family photos don’t have to be stressful at all.

As part of your family session package you will receive access to an extensive guide that details all of my favorite locations. This will include details on directions, entry fees, ease of access, and when it looks best!
It is so important to me to ensure that your family photoshoot is perfect. And a big part of that is your location. Whether you are here for the desert vibe, prefer the river, or want to travel up north. We will work together to make sure you are in a terrain that is perfect for you!

The first step is to say hello! Head over to our contact form where we will discuss your vision, availability and how I can serve you best.
1. Say Hello
Once we determine that we are the perfect fit, we will schedule your session. This includes paying your booking fee, signing your contract, & selecting your date.
2. Schedule it
This is where the fun starts! Every session includes access to our amazing styling app for you to utilize to style your entire family. In addition to outfits we will also go through locations and select the best one for your vision. I have locations in the desert, at the river, or in the studio!
3. Planning it
The day of your family session we will have so much fun! I know that sounds impossible, family photos AND fun. I promise you, it will be a good time. I'll guide your posing, make sure your outfits are perfect, and capture the love you all have for each other.
4. Your Session
Proof galleries are sent to view 1 week after your session. At this point you can chose to purchase extra digital images, physical albums, and print packages. Once you make your final selection your final edits are delivered 2-3 weeks after your final selection. Physical products can be picked up in studio or hand delivered.
5. Your Photographs
Shanyn was absolutely amazing from the moment I inquired about her services to booking my maternity and newborn shoot with her. What I loved was she paid extra close attention to small details to ensure the photos were just right. She was fabulous with my newborn daughter and trusted her to take full control of the shoot. All of my photos came out beautiful!!! I highly recommend her services and her prices are very reasonable. As long as we live in Arizona we will be using her services for any and all future photos! I cannot recommend Shanyn enough! Need a feel good shoot? Boudoir? Family? Maternity? Cake smash? She’s done it all for my family and every time I come out shocked at the result. Our last family session was about 20 minutes because my kids wouldn’t stop crying, it was chaos, no one was participating and I even cried because I was so frustrated. But then Shanyn delivered a full album of photos that I couldn’t even believe how she was able to make us look that put together. She is our forever photographer!

Amazing experience with Shanyn! This was our 3rd photoshoot with her! Breastfeeding milestone, 1st birthday cake smash & today personality portraits! She was patient with our wild 3 year old. Photos turned out amazing and a VERY quick turn around. We already got our final photos! Look forward to using her for other photos in the future!
