Mini sessions are a great way to capture your family through the year. Mini sessions are held at various locations through the east valley, including my Mesa, Arizona studio, and are all expertly styled. Each mini session includes a style + prep guide as an online digital gallery. Mini sessions are held on specific dates or during specific months. Some mini sessions are only available on 1 or 2 days while others span a period of a month or season.

wondering what a mini gallery looks like?
The most common question I get asked about mini sessions are you sure thats enough time? It can be hard to believe that in such a short amount of time we can get 10 good photos, none the less MORE than 10! This family had a delivered gallery of over 60 images to choose from. This is a small peek into what a sunset mini session can look like for your family. Note, if you want this lighting for your mini select one the last available time slot of the day.

A Santa mini session can vary depending on the amount of children and their level of comfort with Santa. This session consists of various activities together and it completely child led. If your kiddo isn't into Santa then we are absolutely able to do this session without Santa. This is a previous set and we use a new one every year!

what does a santa session look like?
River mini sessions are designed to be interactive sessions. These do include getting into the water and getting wet. Extensive prep guides are included with these sessions on what photographs best wet, what to bring, and how to trek out your entire wet family. River mini sessions are held from June through September as the weather is warmest which makes for the most refreshing summer mini session! Since 2011, mini sessions have been a thoughtfully designed part of my work. Photographing hundreds of families each year has shaped an approach that feels efficient without feeling rushed — allowing us to create beautiful, meaningful images in a short window of time.
Mini sessions are best suited for smaller families, though larger families are welcome to book back-to-back sessions if needed. They’re a great option for those who may not love having their photo taken but still want to hold onto this season of life in a simple, low-pressure way.
For families looking for more time, flexibility, or a more in-depth experience, full family sessions are available throughout the year, with the exception of styled holiday sessions. These allow for a slower pace, additional variety, and a more personalized approach.

Shanyn was absolutely amazing from the moment I inquired about her services to booking my maternity and newborn shoot with her. What I loved was she paid extra close attention to small details to ensure the photos were just right. She was fabulous with my newborn daughter and trusted her to take full control of the shoot. I cannot recommend Shanyn enough! Need a feel good shoot? Boudoir? Family? Maternity? Cake smash? She’s done it all for my family and every time I come out shocked at the result. Our last family session was about 20 minutes because my kids wouldn’t stop crying, it was chaos, no one was participating and I even cried because I was so frustrated. But then Shanyn delivered a full album of photos that I couldn’t even believe how she was able to make us look that put together. She is our forever photographer!

Amazing experience with Shanyn! This was our 3rd photoshoot with her! Breastfeeding milestone, 1st birthday cake smash & today personality portraits! She was patient with our wild 3 year old.
