different
When I say custom - I mean custom.
Every newborn session is built to your needs and vision. With one package, you get as little or as much as you'd like out of your newborn session. Every session includes family, siblings, and as many set ups as baby can comfortably get through.
Prior to your session we will plan your session together. At the end of the session, you will view your images together in studio and choose the digital or print package that works best for your family without worrying about being constrained to a pre-selected package.
When you book your newborn session, you will pay your booking fee of $250.00. This covers your pre-session prep, your studio session (which isn't constrained on time or set limit as long as baby is comfortable), and the viewing of your images. The booking fee does not include any digital images or products.
While you wait for your images to be ready to view, you will have a snack or drink coffee from one of your favorite spots. This is included in your booking fee as well!
Digital images packages start at $400.00. Additional products, such as albums and single digital images can be added on. All digital images include a print release.
When you are ready to talk about your newborn session, simply submit a contact form. We will go over package options and availability. Once we determine that we have availability for your due date (or baby if they're already born) you will finalize a contract, pay your booking fee, and lock in your session.
1. Say Hello
If your baby is already born, we will schedule your session right away. However, if you're pre-booking (which is always highly encouraged when possible) you will receive a link to book your actual session date to utilize when baby is born. We will not schedule any date until baby is already born to ensure that date works perfectly.
2. Schedule it
The planning process starts as soon as you book your session. We will discuss colors, props, poses, etc. Each session is tailored to you and your family. With that being said, all sessions are led by babies comfort level. I will only pose baby in a safe and comfortable manner. Not every baby loves every pose. My studio provides an array of props and outfits to ensure that however baby is most comfortable, we have that item available.
3. Planning it
The day of your session you'll arrive to my Mesa, Arizona newborn studio and we will create magic. During this session you can relax, enjoy snacks, and we will pose your perfect, newest addition. Sessions are done Monday - Friday at 9 or 10am.
4. Your Session
Immediately following your session, you can enjoy a coffee or treat on me while I prepare your newborn session images. We will view them together, in studio, to select your favorite images for a final edit. During this time you can purchase additional digital images or purchase any additional print products.

While every package includes a base collection of digital images, my studio also provides the option to add on prints, albums, folio boxes, canvas, and wall art. When you enter my studio you'll see every beautiful piece we offer. You'll be able to feel the quality and see first hand how precious your images will be printed.
The newborn stage is incredibly brief and passes in the blink of an eye. Capturing and printing these moments ensures that you can relive the tiny details—like your baby’s delicate fingers, kisses from their big siblings, and those sleepy, cuddly poses. Each printed photo becomes a keepsake, a piece of your family’s history that can be passed down through generations. These images tell the story of the beginning of a new life and the profound love and joy that comes with it.

Sessions include a welcome & prep guide to help prepare you for your newborn session experience, a photography session at my Mesa, Arizona studio, a private online viewing gallery with all of your final edited images, and a design and ordering consultation, online or in person. Newborn sessions include full access to our prop collection as well as client closet. Newborn sessions are designed to provide you with a carefully curated selection of digital images, ensuring quality and attention to detail in every image. Additional digital images, prints, albums, wall art, and more are available.

I cannot recommend Shanyn enough! Need a feel good shoot? Boudoir? Family? Maternity? Cake smash? She’s done it all for my family and every time I come out shocked at the result. Our last family session was about 20 minutes because my kids wouldn’t stop crying, it was chaos, no one was participating and I even cried because I was so frustrated. But then Shanyn delivered a full album of photos that I couldn’t even believe how she was able to make us look that put together. She is our forever photographer!

Amazing experience with Shanyn! This was our 3rd photoshoot with her! Breastfeeding milestone, 1st birthday cake smash & today personality portraits! She was patient with our wild 3 year old. Photos turned out amazing and a VERY quick turn around. We already got our final photos! Look forward to using her for other photos in the future!
