Family photos can definitely be stressful, and that’s completely understandable. That’s why the process is designed to be easy and enjoyable for you and your family. With over a decade of expertise behind the scenes, you'll be guided every step of the way. From choosing outfits that are cohesive, comfortable, and stunning, to selecting from a list of beautiful East Valley locations that will perfectly complement your session.
During your Phoenix family session, your family will be gently lead into natural, comfortable poses that embrace each unique personality and capture the love you all share. Every image will be crafted to reflect your family’s story in an authentic, heartfelt way. By the end of the session, you’ll leave feeling relaxed and happy, knowing that family photos don’t have to be stressful at all.

I work with families throughout Phoenix and the surrounding East Valley, including Mesa, Scottsdale, Chandler, and Queen Creek. Sessions can take place in my Mesa studio or at thoughtfully chosen outdoor locations that offer beautiful light and space for families to move and connect.
You’ll also receive a simple location guide to explore my favorite spots and see what each offers, making it easier to choose a setting that feels comfortable and right for your family. Whether you’re drawn to desert landscapes, soft sunset light, or a relaxed studio setting, we’ll select a location that fits your vision with ease.

Session Details & Pricing
If this season feels worth remembering, I’d love to help you capture it. Family sessions are scheduled throughout the year, and I’m always happy to talk through timing, location, and what might feel right for your family.
Once we determine that we are the perfect fit, we will schedule your session. This includes paying your booking fee, signing your contract, & selecting your date. 50% of your balance is due at booking with the balance due 7 days prior to your session. Sessions are scheduled on Wednesdays, Fridays, and select Saturdays. There is a savings when you book a weekday session.
2. Schedule it
This is where the fun starts! Every session includes access to our amazing styling app for you to utilize to style your entire family. In addition to outfits, we will also go through locations and select the best one for your vision. I have locations in the desert, at the river, or in the studio!
3. Planning it
The day of your family session we will have so much fun! I know that sounds impossible, family photos AND fun. I promise you, it will be a good time. I'll guide your posing, make sure your outfits are perfect, and capture the love you all have for each other.
4. Your Session
Proof galleries are sent to view 1 week after your session. At this point you can chose to purchase extra digital images, physical albums, and print packages. Once you make your final selection your final edits are delivered 2-3 weeks after your final selection. Physical products can be picked up in studio or hand delivered.

I cannot recommend Shanyn enough! Need a feel good shoot? Boudoir? Family? Maternity? Cake smash? She’s done it all for my family and every time I come out shocked at the result. Our last family session was about 20 minutes because my kids wouldn’t stop crying, it was chaos, no one was participating and I even cried because I was so frustrated. But then Shanyn delivered a full album of photos that I couldn’t even believe how she was able to make us look that put together. She is our forever photographer!

Amazing experience with Shanyn! This was our 3rd photoshoot with her! Breastfeeding milestone, 1st birthday cake smash & today personality portraits! She was patient with our wild 3 year old. Photos turned out amazing and a VERY quick turn around. We already got our final photos! Look forward to using her for other photos in the future!
