Sitter sessions are one of my favorite. Their tiny personalities are coming through and the smiles are usually abundant. Samuels mom requested the prettiest tones for her red haired boy. Blues and bowns suited him so well!
Milestone sessions are best when baby can 1) recognize their name 2) sit up fairly unassisted 3) has mastered a new skill!. Milestones are best booked 3-6 months out and are included in our first year package.
6 month studio milestone session
A huge part of being a photographer is creating. It goes without saying that creating cake smash sets are a huge passion of mine. Taking a few key words from parents and turning it into a beautiful set to celebrate your babies first birthday. Sets are always created from scratch and unless specifically requested, rarely duplicated. I want the cake smash to be as special as your little babe. Cake smashes are best book 6-9 months out and are included in our first year package.

While I absolutely adore a styled set, there is nothing that speaks to my heart more than the focus being on your babe. Our classic cake smash sessions are focused around the birthday star. With a coordinating cake always provided for my cake smash sessions in addition to a beautiful outfit. These sessions can be done in any color your heart desires. Classic cake smash sessions can be done in studio or outside!

As a mother of 5, I know how hard it can be to coordinate everything for your photography sessions. That's why when you book a session with me everything is included. From outfits to perfectly match the set, props, backdrop, and a custom cake. You can sit back, enjoy your babies milestones, and let us do the work (and the laundry!)
Milestone sessions take place when baby is responding to their name and smiling. Sitter sessions take place when baby is actively sitting on their own, cake smash sessions take place around 11 months, and birthday milestones can take place any time you're ready to celebrate.

When you're ready to book your milestone or cake smash session, simply send an inquiry form and we will chat about package options and all of the fine details.
1. Say Hello
One we finalize packages, location, set options, and cake details - we will schedule your milestone or cake smash session. These take place in my mesa, Arizona studio Monday through Saturday. Milestone sessions are typically booked 3-6 months in advance, however we can often accommodate sooner appointments.
2. Schedule it
Planning your cake smash or milestone session consists of picking a theme, backdrop colors, cake, and outfits. This can be as hands on or hands off as you'd like. I have an entire prep guide that will walk you through the process of planning. If your baby has allergies, a cake can be made to accommodate date a dairy, egg, or gluten allergy at no additional charge.
3. Planning it
The day of your session you'll have prepped and prepared and now its time to celebrate! You'll arrive early to allow your baby to get used to the environment and then we will capture their milestone or cake smash session. These are baby led sessions, meaning we go at their pace. Some babies are done really fast while others need the full allotment of time.
4. Your Session
Immediately following your session we will view your images in studio together. You'll be able to select the images you want for your package and buy any extra digitals at this point. During this portion of your session you'll be able to view our albums, wall art, and all of the products we offer. Products are all available for an optional additional purchase.

Sessions include a welcome & prep guide to help prepare you for your milestone or cake smash session experience, a photography session at my Mesa, Arizona studio (or an east valley desert location) a private online viewing gallery with all of your final edited images, and a design and ordering consultation, online or in person. Milestone & cake smash sessions include full access to our prop collection , a custom cake, as well as client closet. Cake smash & milestone sessions are designed to provide you with a carefully curated selection of digital images, ensuring quality and attention to detail in every image.. Maternity session
I cannot recommend Shanyn enough! Need a feel good shoot? Boudoir? Family? Maternity? Cake smash? She’s done it all for my family and every time I come out shocked at the result. Our last family session was about 20 minutes because my kids wouldn’t stop crying, it was chaos, no one was participating and I even cried because I was so frustrated. But then Shanyn delivered a full album of photos that I couldn’t even believe how she was able to make us look that put together. She is our forever photographer!
Family Session
Shanyn has been documenting our family’s milestones (Maternity, Newborn, family, minis) for the last two years and we are so grateful we found her! She is very easy to work with and the final images are always stunning and timeless. She helps you pose and provides guidance to make you look good which is so important. She is the best with little ones - our toddler loves her and always warms up to her quickly. Our sessions are always fun and she captures such a wide variety of photos, even during minis. For newborn sessions all you have to do is bring the baby to the studio and she takes it from there which is wonderful when you just had a baby and are exhausted. Shanyn also has a client closet full of unique dresses that photograph really well and you can try them on in the studio before your session. We can’t wait for our next session!
