what to expect

at your senior session

Arriving for Your Session
From the moment you arrive, my goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and excited for what's ahead. If you're joining me at the studio, you'll have a private space to change outfits, touch up your hair and makeup, and settle in before we begin.

Before we start shooting, we'll go over your outfits together and talk through the flow of your session so every look, location, and detail feels intentional. You don't have to figure it out on your own. I'll guide you through the entire experience.

For seniors who choose to add professional hair and makeup, our artist will create a look that enhances your natural features while still feeling like you. It's one of our most popular add-ons and the perfect way to start your session feeling confident and camera-ready.

 Your Portrait Experience
Once we're ready, it's time for the fun part. You don't need to worry about knowing how to pose or what to do. I'll guide you through every step, from natural movement and genuine expressions to the little details like fixing stray hairs and adjusting your outfit. My goal is to help you relax, have fun, and create images that feel authentically you.

If your session includes multiple outfits or locations, we'll take our time creating a variety of looks that reflect your personality, style, and this exciting season of life.

 After Your Session
After your session, I'll carefully hand edit your images before sending you a private online gallery to enjoy from home. You'll have the opportunity to choose your favorite images at your own pace, with the option to purchase additional digital images, wall art, albums, and printed keepsakes if you'd like.

My hope is that when you look back on these photographs years from now, they won't just remind you what your senior year looked like. They'll remind you exactly who you were.

Phoenix senior session pricing

When you are ready to talk about your Phoenix senior session, simply submit a contact form. We will go over package options and availability. Once we determine that we have availability for your graduate, you will finalize a contract, pay your booking fee, and lock in your session. Most parents book their senior session early in their senior to ensure we have room on our calendar. 

1. Say Hello

This all comes down to preference. Some seniors want the fall foliage. Some want the snow in Flagstaff. Some seniors want a beautiful spring field. I recommend scheduling your senior session to take place no later than March. This is to ensure that you have enough time to get everything back for printing and announcements. 
There is no detail left out when it comes to your senior session. When you're ready to print those announcements, we can do that too! 

2. Schedule it

We’ll talk about your style, color preferences, location ideas, and what kind of vibe you want your photos to have—whether that’s sleek and editorial, natural and relaxed, or something totally unique. Every session is fully customized to reflect you.

From wardrobe to posing, I’ll guide you through every detail to make sure you feel confident and at ease. My studio offers a curated client closet, professional guidance, and a relaxed atmosphere, so you can truly enjoy the experience. This is your moment—and I’m here to help you make it unforgettable.

3. Planning it

When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed into a relaxed, fun environment. We’ll review your outfits, go over the session flow, and make any final tweaks. If you’ve added hair and makeup, our artist will help you feel polished and photo-ready.

Throughout your session—whether in studio or on location—I’ll guide you through every pose, help with styling, and make sure you feel confident and comfortable. We’ll capture a variety of looks and vibes that reflect your personality.

After your session, we’ll go over next steps for viewing and selecting your images. You'll leave feeling amazing, knowing we’ve created something truly special.

4. Your Session

After your session, you'll receive a beautifully curated online proofing gallery within 2 weeks.

This gallery allows you to view all the best images from your session in a relaxed, convenient setting—whether at home with family or solo with your favorite drink in hand. From there, you’ll select your favorite images for final retouching based on your pre-purchased collection, with the option to add on additional digital files, wall art, or heirloom print products.
