Meet Tim. I've had the pleasure of capturing Tims family since his older brother was in his mamas tummy. Tim came in for his 1 year cake smash session and mama chose our timeless cake smash set up for her boy. This session is focused on your baby and will never go out of style. Taking a few key words from parents and turning it into a beautiful set to celebrate your babies first birthday. Sets are always created from scratch and unless specifically requested, rarely duplicated. I want the cake smash to be as special as your little babe. Cake smashes are best book 6-9 months out and are included in our first year package.

With a coordinating cake always provided for my cake smash sessions in addition to a beautiful outfit. These sessions can be done in any color your heart desires.

Your cake smash session is designed to be effortless and elevated from start to finish. You’ll receive a comprehensive welcome and prep guide so you feel completely prepared before the big day. At my Mesa, Arizona studio, you can sit back with a treat and drink while we take care of every detail.
I recommend reserving your session 3–6 months in advance with a signed contract and $250 retainer. Cake smash sessions are ideally scheduled 3-4 weeks prior to your child’s birthday celebration, ensuring your images are ready to enjoy and share in time. Each experience begins with a questionnaire to refine the details and ensure your gallery reflects your family’s unique style.
On the day of your session, I’ll guide you through beautifully designed setups, working exclusively with professional studio lighting to create consistent, timeless, and refined portraits of your little one. Whether it’s a first birthday or another year worth celebrating, every image is crafted with elegance and intention.
After your session, you may review your images in-studio or from the comfort of your home. From there, you’ll select the photographs included in your chosen package, with the option to add additional digital files, fine art prints, and heirloom albums. Once final edits are complete, your images will be delivered seamlessly via digital download.

I cannot recommend Shanyn enough! Need a feel good shoot? Boudoir? Family? Maternity? Cake smash? She’s done it all for my family and every time I come out shocked at the result. Our last family session was about 20 minutes because my kids wouldn’t stop crying, it was chaos, no one was participating and I even cried because I was so frustrated. But then Shanyn delivered a full album of photos that I couldn’t even believe how she was able to make us look that put together. She is our forever photographer!
