5 ways to style your maternity photography session
Mama, I know that you do not feel like yourself right now. It can be hard to see a version of yourself in a mirror you don’t recognize. I have helped over 1,200 moms in my career feel beautiful, confident, and powerful during their maternity session in my Phoenix maternity studio. Add in my 5 pregnancies and I promise you I know exactly what you’re feeling right now. Here is how I help my clients style their Scottsdale maternity photography session.
- Choose outfits that truly feel like you. And while we know that you’ll probably never wear a luxurious ruffled gown to target or for your annual family pictures, we can still find a gown that feels like you at the core.
- Choose a variety of outfits for your Scottsdale maternity photography session. 1-2 luxurious gowns, something chic, something formal, something casual, posing fabrics. Mix it up so you can have a wide variety for your gallery.
- Don’t be afraid to show off your belly. Even if those photos stay private in an album just for you. I can assure you that in 15+ years you’ll cherish having a photo of your belly carrying your belly. And you’ll probably wish you could still look like that, haha.
- Embrace color. Even if you’re a neutral girly, we can incorporate beautiful colors. Rust tones and olive greens are so beautiful to add into a neutral toned gallery.
- Don’t listen to what your husband, best friend, mom, or anyone else has to say. This is about you. What your mom doesn’t like for your body doesn’t matter in my studio. If your husband’s opinion doesn’t align with yours – tune him out sis. This is about you.
