This is my more elaborate newborn experience, with up to five unique styled sets for baby, family photographs, access to wardrobe, all newborn props and styling provided, and 20 final digital images.
Elaborate does not necessarily mean elaborate looking. Your session can be filled with flowers, beautiful color, layers and detailed styling, but it can also be incredibly simple. We can create an all white setup, use soft organic textures, bring in colors from your baby’s nursery. We could combine timeless portraits with a few more styled looks. Platinum gives us room to create a gallery with variety without committing your entire newborn photoshoot to one specific style.
A Fully Styled Experience With Your Mesa Newborn Photographer
One of my favorite parts of a Platinum Newborn Session is that we get to make it yours. I do not want every baby who comes through my studio photographed on the exact same five setups. Your preferences are part of how I plan the newborn session.
Before your session, you will have the opportunity to share inspiration with me. Maybe you love a floral setup you saw in my portfolio. Maybe you keep saving images with rich color, or you know you want something completely white and simple. You may love a specific pose, texture, outfit, or overall feeling. I use those preferences as a starting point when designing your baby’s photoshoot.
You do not have to know exactly what you want either. If you show me a few things you love, I can take it from there. Or even better, I can create something unique with my expertise.
Five Unique Newborn Setups Designed for Your Baby
Your Platinum Newborn Session includes up to five unique styled setups for baby. Within those five setups, we will create even more variety through different poses, angles, close ups, and small styling changes.
One setup does not equal one photograph. We may photograph the full setup, move closer for baby’s face and tiny details. Give your baby a headband or bonnet, adjust the wrap, or photograph baby from an entirely different perspective. These smaller changes allow us to create a gallery with plenty of variety while keeping each setup beautifully cohesive.
Your five setups will also be completely different from one another. We might create something floral, something with richer color, something organic and textured, and something beautifully simple and white. This is where the Platinum session really gives us room to create.
Everything You Need Is Provided at My Mesa Newborn Photography Studio
You do not need to start shopping for props when you book your newborn session. My studio has an extensive collection of newborn wraps, outfits, headbands, bonnets. I have blankets, fabrics, baskets, bowls, layers, textures. Truly so many styling pieces specifically selected for newborn photography.
I provide everything we need to create your baby’s setups. Part of the experience is being able to hand this portion of the planning over to me. I know which pieces photograph well together, which props are appropriately sized for newborns.
Of course, if there is something sentimental you would like incorporated, we can discuss that while planning your session. Otherwise, you can leave the newborn shopping to me.
Family Photos Are Included in Your Mesa Newborn Session
Your baby is the center of your session, but your family belongs in the gallery too. Family and sibling photographs are included. Wardrobe options are even available through my client closet to make preparing for them much easier.
We can coordinate your family’s wardrobe with the overall look of your session so the finished gallery works beautifully together. You are also welcome to bring your own clothing if you already have something you love.
You do not need to know how to pose yourself with a newborn either. I will guide you through where to stand, how to hold baby, where to put your hands, and all of the little adjustments that make a photograph feel polished without making you feel uncomfortable in front of the camera.
Choosing Between Formal and Lifestyle Newborn Photography
Your family photographs can have a more formal studio look or a softer lifestyle feel. Some families love clean, intentional portraits where everyone is looking at the camera. Others are drawn to photographs that feel more relaxed, with parents cuddling baby, siblings leaning in, and everyone interacting naturally.
We can also do a combination of both.
Having different spaces available within the studio means we are not limited to one type of family photograph. I want the family portion of your gallery to feel like it belongs alongside your baby’s styled portraits while still looking like your family.
Newborn Safety Comes First With Your Mesa Newborn Photographer
Newborn photography is incredibly specialized, and safety is something I take seriously. I am trained in newborn safety and use posing and handling techniques specifically designed for these tiny clients.
Every newborn is different. Some babies naturally settle into certain poses while another baby may clearly prefer something else. I am never going to force a baby into a position simply because we planned that photograph beforehand.

We work around your baby. There is time for feeding, soothing, changing, cuddling, and settling throughout the session. If we need to modify a pose or change our plan because your baby is more comfortable another way, that is exactly what we do.
A beautiful photograph is never more important than your baby’s comfort and safety.
When to Schedule Your Mesa Newborn Photography Session
Platinum Newborn Sessions are photographed during baby’s first month at my Mesa studio. Photographing during this window gives us the best opportunity to create those classic curled newborn poses while still giving you some flexibility after bringing baby home.
You also do not need to know exactly when your baby will arrive when you book. We plan around your due date and finalize the actual session date once baby is here.
Before your appointment, you will receive a detailed prep guide explaining exactly what to expect, how to prepare, what to bring, and how your session will flow. I want you to feel prepared before you ever walk through the studio doors.
What Is Included in the Platinum Newborn Experience?
Your Platinum Newborn Session includes up to five unique styled newborn setups with multiple poses, angles, details, and styling variations created throughout them. Family and sibling photographs are included, along with access to family wardrobe options and my complete newborn prop and wardrobe collection.
Your final collection includes 20 fully edited digital images with the option to purchase more images and print products.
Most importantly, the session gives us creative freedom. We are not limited to one color palette or one specific newborn photography style. If you love an elaborate floral setup and a completely simple white portrait, you can have both. If you want rich colors mixed with softer neutral images, we can create that too.
